What can we learn from stories of resilience and hope?
It is important that we acknowledge that we are living in a time of dramatic changes in the way we live, connect with one another, and understand our world. At this time, we are also re-examining our behaviours and understanding of what is 'normal' life. Without a doubt we are living through a historical time; one that will be discussed in the years to come. As during any period of great change we are being asked by our government and communities to step up and act on behalf of the public interest; to hold our responsibility to one another in high esteem. This displacement of what was once 'normal' in the name of the collective good can bring about a multitude of emotions; emotions that may ebb and flow or be a constant in our lives. But this shared historical experience can also enable us to find unity with one another and allow ourselves be resilient in the face of adversity.
I would like us to consider these questions as we move through the assignment:
*How do we find our own strength and resolve?
*What brings us joy and peace amid these dramatically changing times?
